It kinda depends where you live though. You shouldn't walk in areas where there is lot of people around yes, but in my country going outside for walk is actually encouraged since it's good for both body and mind- and most of time you will be able to avoid getting close to other people, like going to walk in forest with no people in sight isn't going to be dangerous ^^

About phones, you might be able to buy one in installments (that's usually how I buy mine) or you can buy used phones too online. So those options might still be available for you?

I hope you get one soon though, I listen music daily on my phone, especially when I walk my dog and it would be awful to be without ^^;
