Crossroads, Non Stop, Bungee (ok it was last year), Fever (ok it was in 2019) and Dreamcatcher's first album b-sides ...

Honestly I can't find any song that sounded like the tracks that made me stan them recently. That's a shame.

And I used to stan both OMG and Gfriend from their debut days!

I get you. Sometimes I miss the older tracks but groups gotta evolve somehow and show new things.
The case on OMG is understandble. Tho granted they always were switching up side to side so I really don't even know why they decided to release Nonstop now when the last one was already such an upbeat song.
Dreamcatcher has noticably went down a new path. some like it some don't. I prefer Scream personally over Piri and Deja Vu. But I do get how these changes can make you feel.
Gfriend is also doing many new things. I do get it that someone who has stanned them since debut would be put off by Fever. I personally did like Crossroads but I can see how that may be not the best of the best titles Gfriend has. The BSides where stronger tho.

Tbh Gfriend's Crossroads I thought was good but not their best and for OMG, I'm not really feeling their title track this comeback. I did love Bungee however.
For Dreamcatcher, I loved and still do love Scream, but it does seem like these groups that made us stan with the songs they had are almost non-existent.
I understand that they have to move with the times and the direction of the Korean GP tastes, but they need to make sure that they don't sway too far from their original music and still make it enjoyable for the fans who have been with them since the beginning.

I wish they would release some music I'd like as well ... Because they might lose some early days fans, including me

I mean, coming from a song like Fever (I loved Fever btw) and then back to a song that sounding more like Gfriend is probably quite hard as while they did make it sound like a Gfriend song, there was just something missing. It's like with Fingertip, they wen't onto Love Whisper, although I love Love Whisper, but you can see them trying to get back to their original music and the same was with Crossroads.

I first didn't really like Fingertip but now I enjoy it. Crossroads wasn't bad but I felt there was something missing

honestly i feel like 2020 has been a good year for k-pop so far and there are a lot of songs i really liked. i understand that when groups change their sound into something different people get disappointed, sometimes it just happens. still i hope you eventually find a song you enjoy this year also crossroads who? i only know labyrinth!

That very well known kpop behavior of changing their sounds to the extreme of crossing into other genres, always made me fear the comeback when Dreamcatcher would do so. They had been doing that on their bsides anyway. So everytime they had a comeback, I was always anxious. The mv usually put my fears to rest... for the time being. With Scream however, my fears came true.
