Are any of you guys the go to person for fixing things in your household? Obviously we all know thats a stereotypically "male" thing to do, but we all know that doesn't matter. For me I'm that person in my family along with my dad. My brother may be smarter, but I have a lot more interest and ability with working with things, while hes more into abstract things like math and computer science. I like being that person, it makes me feel validated and better about myself tbh, which is sad but the truth. Today I'm going to work on figuring out an issue with the air conditioner in our car, and im probably going to make a circuit with a moisture senor for the garden we have that will transmit the moisture to a computer inside, so we can know when the plants dont have enough water. It should be fun and not too difficult, even though programming isnt my thing

My sister is definitely the fixer in our family along with my dad, my grandmother calls us at least 3 times a day for them to show her how to do something on her phone

Yeah I fix everything, installing things, building things, it's pretty simple actually. It keeps everything in order.

I usually ask advice from both parents and then try to do it myself as I live alone ^^; Unless it's sth I'm rly not sure about and wait, then usually mom as she visits lot more often.

My mum is the "man" of the house. She's the one we got to if we need something fixed and whatever not. There's literally nothing she can't do. As for me... nope lol. My brain completely stops when something needs fixing. Like it just looks so abstract and makes 0 sense!

my brain's definitely better with more creative/artistic stuff, but i'm pretty good/okay at tech stuff and my parents get me to help them with some of their technology issues now and then - i'm definitely not good with physical, strength-requiring fixing things like opening jars tho lol
