Darn mosquito can think of every possible disease and make it happen
I didn't know until last year tbh and I live in one of the states highly affected by it, but since it usually isnt that many cases its not an issue as much
But last year we had a lot of restrictions on what activities we could do in the morning for school and there were road signs everywhere warning us about it and recommending spending less time outside and what not so it became a little obvious it existed then

uh huh we have lot of mosquitos here, impossible to avoid during summers, but they don't ryl carry diseases. Ticks do, but mostly in coastal areas.

Oh yeah we have a ton of ticks that carry a disease found rarely anywhere else too. Half my family has gotten sick with it so far. And the kicker is vaccines exist, but they aren't manufactured because the northeast us is one of the only places to have a high number of cases

On the bright side we are pretty lacking in natural disasters. Other than blizzards, the very ocassional hurricane or tropical storm, some severe thunderstorms, and some tornadoes we're pretty set

Well compared to like Florida where they get multiple hurricanes a year of the Midwest where they get tornadoes all the time during tornado season yeah.
Like I've only experienced 3 tornadoes in my 15 years here and no hurricanes although many tropical storms. The only things we have often are severe thunderstorms and blizzards but our blizzards aren't as bad as in Michigan or something

Yea, but like we get just occasional thunder here and mini versions of tornadoes that might cause some old trees to fall. Oh and some floods in the north if it has been particularly snowy winter. Nothing rly that causes deaths

We have a range of weather because of our geographical location. We can have a 60 degree Celcius difference in temperature in the span of 3 days so we've got some interesting weather as a result
