I was at work when it happened but boiling hot kettle water spilt all over his arms and now he went to the hospital.
I think he has a bandage and the doctors will let us know in a couple of days what would need to happen.

I feel so sad right now and can't imagine the pain he must be going through.

I hope he's okay and his arms aren't too damaged

I burned the skin off of half my stomach when I was about 7

I've heard he's ok, but we don't know until he's had a proper assessment I think.
He was playing in the paddling pool playing with the water hose and my mum which is his nan was going to put some hot water from a kettle into the pool to warm it up, but then my nephew put his arm(s) underneath the kettle when my mum had already poured the kettle.

Oh wow, really? I'm sorry to hear that.

Aw, poor kid. Burns can hurt for a while but as long as it gets treated and taken care of it should heal well. Toddlers are pretty resilient so he'll probably be back to himself quickly

Wow, that sounds pretty traumatising for your mum too, I hope that she's ok!

I think she'll be ok, she just feels a bit down and that she thinks it's her fault.
The good thing about it is that my nephew was showing his bandage.
Other than that though, my sister said when he went to sleep in her arms, he suddenly woke up screaming and crying again.

Oof, I hope he heals up well and feels better soon. Burns really hurt, and for someone so young, it must have been really scary.

Tat sucks, im sorry tat happened to him.
My nephew also had sth (same?)/similar happen to him when he was a kid, either hot boiling water in bathroom/kitchen spilled on his torso (think it musta been bathroom cos i seen the scar then n it was relatively large proportional to his abdomen.)
But i agree w/queen comment above, the young r resilient(cant remember age my nephew was but almost 15/20 yrs ago n my nephew is early 20s now.) Also his mum who was bathing/with him/responsible(?/i dont mean this in a bad way{just telling the circumstances) also has no traumatic after-effects from it so hopefully ur mum doesnt either. N also no long-term effects for ur nephew too. My sympathies to him n ur mum n all ur family for the situation(my memory is tat it quickly blows over if theres not much pain n no recriminations, i certainly forgot abt it since i do meet my nephew n my brother's family frequently, but since the scar is not a big deal {iv stayed awhile with them n my nephew frequently goes shirtless but i cant remember last time i noticed hes been visibly scarred, nor is he shy abt it.) Ofc ur nephew situation is different but hope he is/will be ok. My belief is tat when hes older, any scar(s) will attract girls cos they love bad boys. So there's tat.
