Last time was saturday with only episode 7, but today we return back to regular schedule with 3 episodes. After this only two more + special (episode 13) remain. The show is clearly going towards finale, and I think it was definitely apparent in the 10th episode which only strenghtened Angelo's resolve.
Next time episodes 11-12 + 13, the thread will go up 10th July and that will be our final one for this watch :)

I don’t remember Angelo’s friends name at all, but anyways he isn’t happy to what Angelo has become. The question is that will he try to do sth about it, or will he get used in some way. I think sth bad will happen to him if he get mixed into this anymore.
So they are throwing police in the mix. I was wondering what they were going to do, if they would introduce more characters from Galassias or have Nero and Angelo go against Fango.

I guess Corteo killing Fango doesn’t rly matter to them. Not that it necessarily should, he didn’t do it for Vanetti. But maybe he should have begged mercy based on that he killed their enemy.
Angelo is in tought spot, or will be if he cares about Corteo, but I’m not sure if he cares enough.
I guess he does care a enough for it to bother him. Probably most human we have seen Angelo a while now. But let’s see what kind of decision he makes.
So he got kidnapped.. and the guy who sent the letter?? This got juicy all of sudden. I wasn’t even sure if Angelo would be ok with saving Corteo if it jeopardized his cover in any way, but I wonder now.
Nero is finally the family head huh.
I was thinking that Nero might not have directly killed anyone of Angelo’s family, but I was more of thinking it based on his age and it being his first job not it to become important. I wonder if this matters to Angelo though.

I guess Nero rly got that pay back for Angelo making him to kill his brother- now making Angelo to kills his. God damn, Nero is not making it alive is he. Hell the place is going to burn to the ground at the end of this isn’t it.
And now Angelo is more suicidal than ever.
In conclusion: God dammit episode 10 om åartociöar- No wonder they showed Angelo being happy, smiling and relaxing- connecting to someone, after such long time. This rly felt like Corteo only came back from Chicago for the plot- to destroy Angelo's place to return to and make his mission one way trip.
Though I have to say that my opinion towards Angelo vs Nero has swayed here. Previously I think Angelo was really becoming just cold-blooded tool of revenge, not really keeping any values and humanity. I was even thinking that he would kill Corteo to save himself- well which is what he did, but in opposite manner than I though he would. I thought he wouldn't even try to save Corteo and just straight up murder him to shut him up... In conclusion Angelo is regain lot of his humanity this ep for me.. though he might have lost it all again in the end.
Which comes to Nero. Somehow I had been feeling bad to Nero, but after this episode I was like heck yeah Angelo let's murder everyone here and burn the place down. But.. has Nero really done anything worse than Angelo- tbh his actions towards Angelo has been less worse. He asked Angelo same thing as Angelo asked him- to kill his brother for the sake of the family- but he unlike Angelo he didn't trick Angelo to do it. He did force his hand though, and I'm mad about that, but compared how Angelo has been killing his friend behind his back after using them.. well i think Angelo's body count of Nero's family and friend is lot higher than Nero's is. Logically thinking, I maybe shouldn't be rooting for Angelo- but I still am.
EDIT: Oh and Fango is death. I guess I gotta love how this anime keeps blindsiding me, I'd have never thought Corteo would be one to kill Fango. I thought we would get all out mafia war and he would die after Angelo and Nero teamed up to epic fight. Alas, he got surprised and pummeled to death. Tbh, fitting end for him, so I'm not mad about it.

Angelo may seem cold but he's not, he suffers a lot that's the reason why he tried to get Corteo away from him but that really messed up Corteo at the end. It was really sad honestly, I never thought Angelo would have to kill Corteo, I thought Fango would. Speaking of which, I was shooked to my core when Corteo attacked Fango. Like in one moment, Corteo just got lucky and the next one he was killing Fango and I was like WTH.
Tbh no one is totally good or bad here. Angelo's motives are very understandable but Nero is pretty likeable and his family are kinda relatable as well so it's difficult to take just one side.
Again I wrote these as I was watching so they're probably all over the place and most of my questions were answered anyway.
Episode 8
"Big nose man means big d*ck" This reminded me of the Baek/Sehun scene from Knowing Bros.
I can't believe Angelo's threatening the officer with his family... especially after what happened with his family. Honestly, so far he's definitely the most evil character in this whole show. Everything he says and does is with evil intentions. Like I understand wanting to avenge his family but why is he involving innocent people?
I feel sorry for Corteo. I hope nothing happens to him and he can just leave it all and go to college like he originally wanted.
Ok wow that ending... on one hand I was waiting for Corteo to have a breakdown but that was not what I was expecting. I'm glad Fango's dead though.
Episode 9
Aww they caught Corteo! I wonder if Angelo is actually worried about Corteo or if he's just worried that he'll spill about him and his revenge plan... I don't trust him at all tbh.
Also Nero's really proving to be an idiot. There's multiple signs for him not to trust Angelo and even his friends are doubting him but he's ignoring all of them and making excuses for him all the time. I can't believe he managed to live as long as he has in the mafia with that type of naive and trusting personality.
Oooooh the person who sent the letter is finally making an appearance. And looks like my assumption from before wasn't wrong. Whoever it is most likely wants to take over. Also, why do I have a feeling it's the uncle? On one hand he acts as if he likes Nero a lot but on the other he just seems so suspicious to me. The body shown when Corteo was talking to Angelo looks like his body too. And although he supposedly cares for Nero, he didn't look too happy with Nero officially taking over.
I'm at the end now AND IT REALLY IS THE UNCLE?? I knew it! I kind of wish it wasn’t because it was too predictable!
And Nero didn't kill his family. I somehow expected this to be the case honestly but I still kind of wish it wasn't the case. It's too obvious and cliche. Like I don't want him to die but I wish it was more of a forgiveness type plot where we see Angelo's character development. I hope this doesn't end with Angelo being manipulative and evil until the end.
But why do I have a feeling he's going to die at the end? I won't be surprised at all to be honest.

YES CORTEO IS ALIVE! Probably the best thing to happen in this show… besides Ronaldo’s death.
I like that Angelo shows his human side with Corteo. I like their friendship and I hope that nothing happens to Corteo. But this flashback background music makes it seem like something bad is going to happen so I’m not keeping my hopes up.

Everyone else is just blindly trusting him. He even went ahead and followed up on it. I’m so glad one of them is actually using his brain.

Why did Corteo suddenly become brave? I HATE THIS. Oh man, I’m so sad. I’m suddenly in full support of Angelo killing Nero and all his friends and family. I hope he succeeds.

He wanted to get Corteo out of there, even provided him with college money- but due to his cold act and him doing many morally dubious things just before- I think Corteo just saw it as hush money rather than genuine gift from a friend/brother. It drove Corteo into unimaginable betrayal.. which I think was extremely stupid of him, but I guess he really wanted Nero to die that bad. It was interesting to see Angelo's plan just utterly fail as they have gone so great before.

Lol ur thought process was quite similar as mine. I found Angelo is cold and evil, was sure he would try to kill Corteo before Corteo would speak on him or sth like that, but I was totally wrong. He did care and that scene between them in the end got me emotional. I was fearing they would kill Corteo that ep, it was looking suspiciously happy, but when Angelo returned from Chicago I was sure Corteo would be safe and that maybe Angelo would just be put on hot seat for them suspecting him or sth like that. It did happen, but I didn't see Corteo returning happening. I was cursing Corteo at that point, but also feeling sad at what was going to happen..
But tbh, I have been trying to not blame Nero too much. I'm frustrated with him, but well Angelo has done worse to him. At least he was straight forward about it, like it's now ur turn to prove your loyalty to family. But yea, I can see that Angelo won't hesitate to kill him now and I won't blame him for it.

I did come around liking Angelo again after 10th ep again. It humanized him a lot. But yea he did mix Corteo up to mafia stuff despite knowing how much Corteo hated mafia.
