Im having a Twilight marathon (1 Viewer)

I've been watching nothing but old kung fu movies for the last two months. I needed a break.

So I decided to start a Twilight marathon. This is a series I've never seen and have never wanted to see but I wanted something different to watch so I said what the hell.

I'm perfectly aware of these movies reputation and are going into them not expecting much at all except maybe having some fun laughing at it.

I'm going to update this thread every time I watch a new entry and give it a score. I watched the first movie last night.

Twilight (2008)

Score: 7/10

Final thought: The romance felt rushed and the acting was average. But the setting and atmosphere were really good. Kristan Stewart was the saving grace for this movie. I have a feeling this will stay my favorite entry but we will see.

Watching part 2 tonight.

As I told you. I love Twilight. Despite its flaws.

Specifically I love the first movie.

I have a penchant for vampire romances.

And I always love the setup and beginning of them (thus my love of the first one).

Love the time before the reveal. The buildup. The anticipation and then the oh my gawd you're a vampire. And how the character is always pulled into this whole new exciting world.

My favorite of recent years is Vampire Diaries first couple seasons.

But Twilight is another that hits the itch.

It's so cringy. But it's so cringe it's good.

And Kristen Stewart is definitely the highlight.

This is bringing back flashbacks from my teen days... I went to the movies with my mum and family friend and it was just so uncomfortable. My family friend acted like he had read the books even though we both know he didn't read past the first page and he looked dead bored halfway through the movie and my mum looked traumatised by the end of it loooool. Also I was going through a stage where I acted like I hated everything romance so it was awkward going to a movie based around teen romance with them.

Anywho, I think it's because I read the books and was obsessed with them that I felt like the movies were huge let downs. It didn't give me the same excitement as the books did and overall it felt boring and bland. Like the characters didn't have much emotion in the books either but at least they didn't feel like robots. Also too many awesome scenes from the book just looked and sounded soooo ridiculous on screen. I cringe every time I remember any of them.

If she wanted to switch up the common lore regarding sunlight there had to be another route to go with it lol.

Ahh yes the good old days. Twilight. Have fun with New Moon it's my least favorite and it made me so frustrated I could only handle watching it once. Don't worry though there will still be so much to laugh at.

Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)

Score: 7/10

Final thoughts: Way too long, way too melodramatic, felt like a retread of the first one except it was Jacob and the Werewolves turn. Yet shockingly I still enjoyed it as much as the first one. Short hair Jacob is so annoying compared to long haired Jacob. Kind of getting burnt out on the continued awkwardness between Bella and her Dad. So far these movies aren't as bad as I thought they were gonna be.

Twilight: Eclipse (2010)

Score: 6/10

Final thoughts: My least favorite movie so far. Just didn't seem like a lot happened here. The Victoria threat has gone on for way too long thank God it's over now. It was cool seeing the Vampires and Wolves teaming up. I think the best scene of the whole series so far was the tent scene with Edward and Jacob while Bella was sleeping. Two movies left.

Score: 6.5/10

Final thoughts: Wait. Wait wait wait wait. I only have one thought. WHY did Jacob imprint on the baby??????? He went back in to kill her. How do you look at a newborn baby and say yes shes my future love?? I'm so damn confused right now.
