Appreciation |Album review| Creeper - Sex, Death & the Infinite Void (1 Viewer)

3 years after their debut album *Eternity, in your arms* the British rock-goth punk group came back in late July with a second full album.

The album starts with a short track called Hallelujah, their keyboardist and only female singer speaks with a smooth voice.
I couldn't understand what she said here but I have enjoyed it xD



Then we have a song that I was already familiar with : Be my End. Can't say it was an instant love when I first listened to it but the song is quite good. I could feel these atmosphere and vibes that are Creeper's signature, quirky, melancholic and mysterious at the same time.



Third song is my personal favourite, it is the one that got me into them : Born Cold
Everything was really perfectly done here and the song is honestly very catchy! Totally fitting my taste 🖤🖤🖤





Fourth song wasn't unknown to me either, it is Cyanide. It seems like a lighter song but the main vocalist's voice here is stunning!
He shows that he has a really wide range of notes he can reach! It sounded to me like a theatre play




then we won't talk about the interludes, I feel like they weren't really necessary or even useful
I am talking about Celestial Violence, Holy War and The Crown of Life


next song is Annabelle, honestly at first I didn't know what to think about it. However, I actually like the song more now.
The whole story around the song is interesting and I can't say that the singer voice is bad xD




Paradise and Poisoned heart are both lighter sounding, we could hear a more emotionnal side of the singer.

Same for Thorns of Love and Four Year Ago

Napalm Girls is a song where both the main singer and the keyboardist are singing, honestly both voices are going well together.
I liked how melodic and harmonious it sounded here!

then we are coming to the last two songs of our journey: All my Friends and Black Moon

Both are concluding the album with a more melancholic and nostalgic like sound, which I really appreciated
