So when companies and fans treat idols badly, who would be worse?
So, you have companies and I mean everything that goes on in a company who treat their idols bad like bullying, abuse, sexual abuse, assault, etc but then you have the other side which is the k/netizens who will throw all kinds of malicious comments, attack you in real life, etc.

So my question is, who is actually worse?

A bad company is infinitely worse than Knetz since they can y'know..... PHYSCALLY abuse the idols on top of mentally

but I don't think those 2 can be compared that well, since they are interact with the idol so differently.

I can agree to a certain extent but knetizens have also physically and emotionally attacked idols also.
Like a male had glue stuck in his hair, was it? Also, k/Betz have been known to abuse idols that they have taken their own life, so I think it's a tricky one.

Netizens by far. Companies may be shtty but an idol potentially has a chance to get out. They can lash back at a company even. But with netizens it's much harder and they can do so much more damage to an idols image. You can sue a company but good luck finding all the tongue wagging netizens. I think we can create a bigger list of idols or former idols who has faced netizen attacks.

It was even said the death of his father was attributed to the harassment of netizens while he was recovery.

So companies they can escape from, netizens have a far broder and far naster reach.

Heck look how many netizens Han Seo Hee has turned on idols to get them removed from their standing. A company we can attack as a whole for slader but when a flock of netizens start tearing at someone people tend to join in.

Heck even the cancelation of Hongbin. it was proved time and time again that it was a misuderstanding and there was more but netizens attacked. Sure the company IMHO didn't do much to keep him there unlike Ken. But Again a company is 1 soul form at fault, then compared to a group which can cause more damage and spread more damaging lies.

I tend to think the companies tbh.

They sell the trainees a dream they can't guarantee they'll be able to achieve.
Make them think they succeed as a perfect idol or it's all over.
Even when they don't depend on the toxic fans money, they don't go their way to end their bad behavior.

They have the power to do some change.

The decent k/netz can't do anything to prevent the horrible ones that still buy the content from having influence.
The company has a chance of doing so, or at least should have the responsibility of dealing with that in the first place.

the most knetz can do is post malicious comments but companies on the other hand, are able to mistreat their idols badly and not get bashed just because they are the ones that are in charge of everything

My kneejerk reaction is to say companies, as they have more direct access to artists and have legitimate authority over their artists (most of whom are in debt to their companies).

Though I can't ignore the ruthlessness of the netizens, a faceless entity, sometimes a mob. Even if one goes down, there are plenty others in that faceless crowd to spread hate, falsehoods, and generally make life unpleasant. They're kinda inescapable, and it's unfortunate but as they are also consumers, those who are abused by them also have to pander to them, more or less.

That being said, I have to give a nod over to the companies, as they have more direct influence, power, and control over the artists they manage. Especially if it's a crappy company or if those who are directly handling the artists are crappy -- physical and emotional abuse, sexual abuse, holding debts over their head, other power moves of the kind. Companies wield much more tangible power, so I'd say them.
