On the Pann forum, a girl claiming to be a former trainee of FNC – AOA’s agency uploaded a post to reveal more about Jimin, making the drama over internal conflict even more intense. This girl told the story of herself being bullied by AOA leader Jimin while she was a trainee under the company.

The story of FNC’s ex-trainee caught netizens’ attention. There is a huge number of comments below the post, mainly showing their sympathy with the OP as well as two former AOA members who are said to be bullied by Jimin – ChoA and Mina.

“I quit FNC Ent. after 2 years that brought me sickness both physically and mentally.

I don’t have an outstanding character, but I somehow got into the company.

Shin Jimin always belittled my appearance (If someone praises me on my looks, she would give me death glare).

She would throw the monthly evaluation paper at my face.

She would bump into me if she saw me and hit me with her fists,….

It suffocates me to think of the time I cried for 2 hours in front of the practice room because I didn’t want to enter the room.

AOA members may look close to each other, but it’s the reality version of the law of the jungle. All of them are walking on eggshells around that one person, she’s trying to drive a wedge between them.

She acts all cutesy in front of male trainees. It was terrifying. The kind ones will never survive here.

I don't know but Jimin was made leader instead of ChoA, so I think it's really fishy. Maybe she gave them extra money or maybe she had something that FNC couldn't let go off.

I don't know, but by doing that and doing nothing about the bullying, abuse, etc, they are made to look like a shitty company who doesn't care for the well-being of its idols.

I'm not sure about this girl but it makes sense that Mina wasn't the only one bullied by Jimin. I mean, thinking of ChoA and how she suddenly came back now that Jimin is not in the picture, makes me wonder about who else could have been a victim.

I made an account to reply to this. Nothing Mina has said or claimed has been proven yet, and the members of AOA are guilty until proven innocent by the public. Mina may or may not have exaggerated the thing, but I do think that because she isn’t in the right state of mind, she most likely went into a hole of blowing it out of proportion in her mind and believing in it. Mina seems to be very sensitive, and Jimin seems to be cold.

On Jimin’s side, we have heard nothing so I’ll go off of what Mina is saying about her and Seolhyun. In Mina’s post, she’s going on and off about AOA’s members as a whole. ‘Jimin was the only one who bullied me, no the other members comforted her instead of me.’ On all of Mina’s post, she’s constantly changing her mind. It is not in my place to say whether or not she has been bullied and she is certainly unwell mentally, but I don’t think she should up and leave the situation, like she just did. Mina has just destroyed a person’s career while they are still young and the other person is getting terrible hate.

Mina has refused an investigation too, for whatever reason we could possibly never know. Her mental health is important and she should be in the right state of mind, but she should have done that first before posting. Mina has given no evidence and only her company asked for the hate to stop, not Mina herself. I find it fishy and weird that none of the staff and other members defended her besides Choa. I do think Jimin was put under pressure as a leader and came off as very, very harsh to Mina, meanwhile Mina is a very sensitive soul. It does not excuse the things Jimin has allegedly done to Mina if true, but Mina putting herself out there, garnered a lot of attention, claimed she didn’t want it to blow up after she ruined a person’s career and maybe life, denied a lawsuit she implied she wanted, then disappearing after leaving those members with severe hate and maybe jobless is not okay. An investigation is certainly needed to see if there are other trainee witnesses and what truly happened.

I can't imagine an investigation being useful in a case like this because it relies predominantly on the testimony of those involved and those around: AOA and FNC staff, neither of whom can reliably and unbiasedly tell what happened

Maybe. FNC is a shitty company as a whole and that could possibly be the reason why no members who are still signed haven’t spoken out, for better or worse. It seems to me that Mina wanted them to feel like how she felt, noticeable when she backs off whenever something legal comes up. Like you have said, one side has suspiciously chosen not to say anything so why couldn’t that be used against them even when not in a legal lawsuit? The best of the odds are she has no proof. Nobody will truly know what went on cuz memories warped during the times it happened and it might be best not to take everything truthfully until everybody has a chance to say something. Mina does need to recover before anything more comes from this but she should ask for the unnecessary hate to stop. It’s an awful situation for everybody involved.

Shitty or not, I can't imagine why FNC or AOA would willingly let themselves and their careers burn without even a fighting chance, especially after all that work to build them back up again. No denials or threats of legal action which is not only the norm but also something they have a case for, true or not. Even before FNC would have had time to shut them down, Jimin was the only one denying it and standing up for herself. It wasn't until Mina went after Seolhyun, the real breadwinner, that FNC presumably shut her down.


This is either going to fade away as Mina gets the help she needs, or come back full swing.

I feel you! She wasn't my bias as I wasn't really a fan of AOA, but I'd be devastated if a bias from any of the groups I loved was doing some serious bullying to other members.
