Today is my kpop anniversary (2 Viewers)

It was August 24, 2017. I was looking for video reactions to Despacito on youtube; and I found the video below that was uploaded that same day. That sparkeled my curiosity about kpop and went to google to look for it. I subscribed to a kpop forum as a result, and I have been around since then. It's a bummer that I didn't like kpop as much as to keep my interest; but that's how the events that lead me here happened. On that forum I knew about Japanese idols and I'm actually still around because of that. So today it's my 3-year anniversary of being around kpop stans.

This is possibly the very first kpop that I heard. On the video reaction above they asked the viewers to go watch their then current comeback. I remember going to watch it. However, I might have watched Gangnam Style first since by that time I also saw videos of the most watched youtube videos. One of those was Gangnam Style; yet I didn't know that was kpop. So I don't exactly know what was the first kpop that I ever saw.

I could say that I never stanned kpop itself. I even made an effort to not stan any group and go for being a casual fan only. In that way, I followed KNK for a while, then Dreamcatcher, then Blackpink, then Kard, and finally Gfriend. I stanned Dreamcatcher when they released What. I couldn't keep resisting them.

With Blackpink and Gfriend, the story was very similar. I slowly lost interest on them. I lost interest on KNK during the 10 months long forced hiatus of 2017-2018. I cancelled Kard after they released an obnoxious song. Finally, I still follow Dreamcatcher as a casual fan after having unstanned them out of disappointment.

If stanning Dreamcatcher could be called being a kpop stan, then yes, I was a kpop stan; but I didn't consider myself so.

So I guess I don't have an anniversary to celebrate.

I joined AKP on August 24 2017, and it happens that KNK reaction video was uploaded that same day; so that's the day I first knew about it. Otherwise, the best I could do is to say that I knew about kpop sometime between KNK's video's upload day and the day I joined AKP.

I am not really into visiting more than like two forums at a time myself.
Too hard to build up all the new friendships again.

I am essentially a nugu on AKP; not very sure about here, but I think I'm not really well known here either.
