Hello everyone! 💙

We’re currently holding applications for a moderator that lives in the European, Asian, and Oceanic time zones. During the night time in the NA time zones we obviously can't be active since we'd be asleep. Therefore, we are need of a moderator from another region who can take care of things when we aren't active. If you're interested in becoming a moderator please read this thread thoroughly before applying.


HERE ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR THE APPLICATION PROCESS

1) Be moderately active
You will have to engage with other users on the forum. We will need someone from either of these time zones that is willing to log on frequently and will stay on the forum for quite a while. This is not a job that you can just have for a few weeks and then leave. We need someone who is willing to dedicate their time to the forum.

2) Do NOT show any bias
With this you cannot show any bias towards certain users/friends. For example, if a friend of yours breaks a rule then you will need to give them the proper punishment such as a verbal warning or a warning point. All users need to be treated equally whether you like or dislike them.
In terms of your favorite groups, do not give a punishment to someone just for stating an opinion of a group that you do not agree with. If there is a group getting bashed that you might not like then you will still need to give a proper punishment no matter what. You also cannot join in on the bashing. Doing so will also give you a warning point despite having a moderator position.

3) Be communicative
As stated earlier, you will need to communicate with the users of the forum. The community here is about promoting kindness and positivity to one another, as well as, helping new users and welcoming them here. We would like for our users to know that they are important to the staff members and that we are willing to help them anytime. We want our users to trust us and to feel comfortable talking with us when any issue arises for them.

4) Behavior
While being a moderator, there will be times where you will run into a stressful situation or you may feel conflicted about what to do. Please do not lose your cool and lash out at fellow staff members or users. You will need to be level headed and rational. If you feel like you cannot handle the situation calmly then please ask another moderator to help you out. As mods we are expected to work together so please don’t hesitate to ask for help when you get stuck.

5) Training period
Please note that you will have to do a training period that will range from 2 weeks to a month. Mods have a lot of perms so we need to make sure that you do not take advantage of them and that you know how to use these perms properly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be frequently active without any breaks?
Short answer, no. Outside of the forum we all have school, jobs, and other personal matters that we would need to take care of. You can tell the other staff members that you will be on hiatus or inactive for a few days. If it’s too personal then you can just say that you need a break and we will be understanding of it. As a team, we will look out for you.
However, an important thing to take note of is that if you are on hiatus for several months, there is a high chance that you would be removed as a staff member. (This applies to all staff members. Not just moderators.)

Will other regions be accepted?
At some point, yes they will be. But for right now we are just focusing on European, Asian, and Oceanic regions. Having a moderator from a non NA region will be helpful for us.

Do I need to have former moderating experience?
Having a decent amount of moderating experience would be ideal. The new moderator will be selected by current mods and/or the admins. We will look at your application carefully in order to ensure that you can handle the position.

What age can you apply?
You must be 18 years old or older. We will decline any applications from those who are under the age of 18. Please DO NOT try to lie about your age either. You could get stripped from your position if we find out that you aren’t as old as you say you are.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS WILL BE ON OCTOBER 3RD
Therefore, you have two weeks from today to apply
