My handwriting looks like a 3 year olds handwriting.

It looks really good if I write relatively slowly and push down really hard. Otherwise, it's kinda sloppy but still really legible.

Oh I kinda have the same thing. If I write really slowly it's ok but otherwise my handwriting is messy.

Our teachers forced us to learn cursive and then my handwriting got better

I tend to press down heavy on the page when I write, but aside from that, it’s fairly neat

maybe try gripping your pencil differently? I find that usually the people with the messiest handwriting tend do hold their pencils like weapons while people with neater handwriting hold it more like this

if you already do that then I guess you could try visualizing how you want your letters to look before you write them and slowly practice it until you don't have to visualize anymore.

Oh you're right. I hold my pencil a weird way since no one ever taught me how to hold it properly. Maybe I should try changing it. Thank you!~
