Imagine thinking this like 5 second clip of Jennie simply sitting down, wearing a non revealing nurse outfit, doing no dancing, suggestive moves, with no camera close ups on her body, is somehow "objectifying" nurses.

For the record, even if all those things happened, there would be no reason to delete the scene. MVs show slightly sexualized versions of professional outfits all the time and nobody bats an eye. Hell, most Kpop ggs prance around in even shorter school uniform skirts and nobody is complaining.

there's a whole thread on twitter of other popular idols wearing nurse uniforms far more sexual then Jennie and no one blew up at that! it's so frustrating, Jennie herself loved filming the scene and it was a clever play on words. normally I don't try to generalize, but sk has so many other issues when it comes to women's rights, deleting a scene where Jennie isn't even wearing a sexualized costume shouldn't be on their list. maybe they should try educating their men on how to treat women with respect instead of blaming the women themselves...

I mean portraying anything in a more glamorous/sexy way in a music video is pretty much commonplace, we've seen doctors/nurses, flight attendants, office secretaries, gym instructors, lifeguards and so many more, even in Kpop.
But somehow THIS portrayal, which is just there for 5 seconds of Jennie doing nothing except sitting down is the one they pick to fight for their cause
And it was only there coz it fit the lyrics perfectly, it wasn't even like she's checking on a male patient or something.

Of course, joining the bandwagon and blaming entertainment media and celebrities is easy, they'd rather do that than educate men to not be sexual predators or work towards building a safer work environment for their nurses. Or idk, have the law actually punish sex offenders with serious sentences.
