Have my all time favourite Keyaki song and mt all time favourite performance of that song.... The performance is really..... yeah, Hirate went out with a bang. (This is the last Keyaki single with Techi)

It's kinda poetic that it's Techi's last single y'know...
The theories around that single and that performance ( They tend to perform the song differently every time, with a slightly different story)

But it IS theorized that Techi is dead/dies and not even just that, but commits suicide. The body at the beginning of the MV is her.
The performance has the story of how she never really fit in and even when smbdy tried to reach out to her, she was still pushed away (3:15 in the performance Yui-pon hugs her back but others push Techi away) It all comes to the point where Techi herself refuses a hand reaching out to her.

The flower she is holding symbolizes abandonment, loss and death.

The darkest of all the singles of Keyaki yeah.... And their others aren't exactly flowerfields and rainbows y'know!
They have some other songs that are similarly depressing af, but this is their heaviest title.

Like their song Getsuyobi no asa skirt wo kirareta (on a monday morning my skirt got cut) talks about girls being bullied in school, also from quite a.... bleak and given up perspective

It's why I'm so scared of a concept change.... This type of a dark concept is smth girl groups almost NEVER DO! For boy groups it's quite a common one, but for a GG to do it really is almost unheard of!

I assume with a concept change most of the biggest angst will be cut out and just..... I am so scared that will cut out the soul and what Keyaki IS in the end. Sure that might make the group more palatable for the general audience, but Keyaki has always been so incredibly unique and strong willed and just..... POWERFUL
