@JJbaker Jessica spilled some tea in her book about how SM gets away with making their artists sign 10 year contracts so they'll probably be all older than this when they actually resign...

its not legal anymore and very diffcult to get away with
literally any member would win a court case to get out there contract after 7years
due to the slave contract law

hmm i think with koreas law changing soon to protect young trainees/idols
if this true all the dreamies will be safe as the law change coming goes into this kinda sneaky stuff

It's heavily discouraged but not outright illegal like assumed. The contract lengths actually weren't the main issue of the JYJ lawsuit, it's what they could be made to do under those contracts. If we go by what Jess said, its a 7 year contract and they already signed the 3 renewal, not a lot of wiggle room for a lawsuit
Kris, Luhan and Tao all had their contracts upheld in Korean courts for the full 10 year length despite debuting in 2012. Traxx member sued in 2015 for his 17 year old contract and lost.

To be frank, if there are any legal issues to come out of SM, it'd more likely be WayV than Dream but they seem to be promoted in China well enough
