I like the non toxic vibe around here, definitely staying with pleasure up until now.

I have not been here for long but quickly spotted stuff on here that makes no sense, at least not for me anyways but maybe that is because I used to be a forum whore back in the day, spent way too much time on forums in the past and been staff on too many so I have seen and done it all basically.... Cause of that I'm used to certain stuff but I know that doesn't mean when another forum in the present does it differently it is incorrect..... It is OK when things are different on a forum nowadays compared to years ago but..... There are a few things where I am like..... Sad about.... Oh well

I personally love it here, I think the community (although small) is really friendly and non-toxic, the staff are great and @Cosmic does a really great job at maintaining the actually site!

The number one thing I look for in forums is the non-toxicity; I have a history of unwittingly joining toxic forums (especially this one called LiveWire Teen Forums - I thought it was friendly and welcoming at first, but the users would keep shaming me [and others] for our "poor" music tastes), so I'm extra-careful now. Needless to say, KPS passed my test with flying colors!

I also love it because I used to go on the KProfiles forums, and this forum is a lot more lenient in that, say, you can change your username and edit posts without having to ask the admin! (not that I'd want to change my username lol) Nothing wrong over there, but then I found this place. lol

There's also a lot to talk about here, not just K-pop - general discussion, other Asian music, and even Western music. I love a place where I can talk about other faves, because K-pop isn't the only music genre I listen to.

Yes there might be some issues in general, but all of us here in the community comes from different countries, careers, intentions. Its definitely going to be much more easy to spot the flaws as you guys do when being here for quite some with our community being quite small, that being said, i am always in constant discussions with the team to try to improve the forum the best we are able to but there are obstacles in achieving that when i have no feedback to rely on to maintain the dream forum i have in mind since 2018. Please do send me feedback i won't bite.

There will always be users or opinions users aren't able to agree with together but that is what humanity has operated on for the last 200k years, we simply migrate away and form new tribes or nation state that we can agree with. One day i hope i can turn ks into a dream utopia where every can get along well but that will take some time. KS has been a first for me and many of the staff, took some time to get to a stable state but i hope we are going about at it in the correct way.

Thank you for giving us a chance & i hope to change your mind about it as we age together over the years.

PS - i am on hiatus till sunday, so if anyone send me anything, i will reply by monday.

It's nice and inviting and friendly and I can't really talk about K-Pop in my own country, since to me, it's not that popular in Australia.
So this forum takes me away from that fact. :)

Even on the Blackpink Documentary they never showed any Australian fans, just people from Europe and America and Asia.
So that was kind of a bummer, unless I missed something. Too fixated on the ladies lol

The forum is called KpopSource, yet I'm not a kpop fan. My real interest lies on Japan and its alt-idol groups. Think about PassCode, Neo Japonism, Necronomidol, Kolokol, Jyujyu, BiSH, BBTS, BiS, Yanakoto Sotto Mute, etc. I sometimes feel really constraint on what, where and when to reply. The ban on the creation of new Japanese idol badges has not helped at all. And the fact that the KS Daily is exclusively kpop oriented reinforces everything.

I think this is a fair point, I think as kpop companies start to expand and make more localised groups, it kind of makes sense that KpopSource needs to broaden it's subject matter since the "meaning of kpop" (whatever that is) is expanding to include things that aren't necessarily Korean.

Also I didn't know about the ban on Japanese idol badges @Awards Lead does this mean we can't have NiziU badges in the future since they're technically a Japanese group?

you own a forum with over 2400+ registered people and you got more than half a million of content on it
that is not small


if you compare your forum to reddit than yes , this is a small place
but don't compare yourself and your forum to them big places or other big kpop forums
i been staff on one of the biggest kpop forums long time ago and the staff team was and probably still is pure utter trash
they probably are still huge (cba to visit anymore to even look) but they , still probably the same people in charge, got absolutely terrible people on staff and their members are attention whores with a lot of personality issues..... so if you look at those facts, a forum, no matter the numbers of how big they are, the forum is really not that great.

i am sure you are doing much better and besides, that one has been online for way many more years so,
keep up the good work and just make sure your staff team is not filled with a bunch of unreasonable, fkd up, non hard working people like i have seen at other places and you will be fine.
if you try your best , especially at the last part as a good hard working staff team is VERY important to make a forum awesome, this place will be even bigger and more awesome before you know it

but not sure why you are saying you getting no feedback though haha - confused (considering i have already posted more than enough feedback on the forum as a new member - which might be weird getting it from a new member but it's just because of my experience, that's all)
