I'm talking about the new original Anime which premiered last week called

Akudama Drive


"Long ago, a war broke out in Japan that pitted Kantou against Kansai and divided the country.
Kansai became dependent on Kantou, but slowly the police and government began losing control of Kansai to criminals known as Akudama."

What I love the most so far (Episode 2 released earlier today)
The world - the whole Cyberpunk feel to it and the world building has been great so far.

The characters - being created from the Character designer from Danganronpa is amazing itself but the way our team of 7 interacts within 2 episodes already is lovely.
They have known each other for merely a few hours but I just really love the dynamics, they are all engaging with each other, no one gets left out.

The animations and art style - it's very over the top, but in the best sense possible. The fighting animation is so fluid and enjoyable and one of the "over the top" moments includes a blimp/bus combo flying at full speed into a skyscraper, they've done such a good job with the illustrations. There's a bit of CGI involved as well, but it's really well done CGI which is pretty rare in Anime.

yep it's on funimation, i'm watching it totally legal on another side since neither crunchyroll or wakanim picked up the rights to it and i didnt want to subscribe to an other anime site lmao

That's a shame, Funimation is where I go to watch things dubbed.

Episodes come out every Thursday, I don't really know the time but it's definitely past 5pm CEST for me

Oof. I just looked and didn’t find the episodes on there either. Usually they’d have them listed because I’ve watched several shows on that site.

I'm actually really unlucky, I just saw that the German Wakanim doesn't have it but it's available in other countries on Wakanim

i mean as i said i watch it totally legal on another site which i cant name cuz
but i hope wakanim maybe gets it here in germany as well so i can watch it at a better quality
