I know those states will probably decide the election but the turn out in Georgia right now has me stunned. I knew my state was coming closer to finally going blue but my brain is just having trouble keeping up

Man, we had so much good potential with Bernie but we're good at fucking ourselves over so it's not that surprising that things went this way lol

People thought Bernie was too old. Even though he was a year older than Biden.

Seeing these results i've honestly lost confidence that Bernie or any other socialist leaning politician could win tbh. With 230,000+ dead, people locked in cages, human rights abuses, and just straight up fascist authoritarian tactics from Trump and the man still has gotten as much votes as he has I don't think progressive policies would be the attractor I thought they would be.

The Trump is already claiming victory and saying they will take this to the supreme court...which we've known for weeks if not months that he would do and dems didn't work their asses off to fight against it. Peolsi is talking about becoming the House Majority leader again and honestly her and Diane Feinstein should retire and f*ck off (Schumer too).

NYT was predicting last night that GA might lean blue and I laughed but now i'm looking at these numbers and losing my mind. The comparison of 2016 to 2020 is astounding

makes sense those counties are all democratic and have large minority populations so the state tries its best to make it harder to vote there so it always takes them longest to get in.

I don't want to get my hopes up too much cause they've been dashed before but I have some hope cause with numbers this close the GOP in georgia are losing their hold at a fast rate

PA didn't start checking all their votes until around 10 pm last night. So i don't know.

In some states republicans sued to keep absentee ballots from being counted until the day of the election. So states like PA had like million ballots they only got to start counting the morning of Nov 3. In GA they received a lot of ballots and had to shut down counting late at night since the people who do the counting needed to sleep lol. If we learn all the votes before Friday that'd actually be a surprise.

Also, @Cosmic idk if you want an update but there's only about 78,000 vote difference now. Biden (up ~30,000) is gaining more than Trump (up ~4,000)
The two senate races in GA may go to run-off as well.
Edit: also update as of 3:20 pm Georgia still has 200,000 ballots to count won't be surprised if it ends up being on Trump's list of states he's suing to stop counting
