After watching this video below of Kibun (SHINee) and Changsub (BTOB) I just thought I´ll make a thread. Come on, I blame the uniforms.
Also, I have heard so many negative stories from bullying the freshmen to hard that I always worry what it really is like
Apparently from what I have read you have to go through 4 weeks of basic programme and then you are stationed somewhere either as a public servant (administration, police etc.), active duty soldier or you continue with the marines or pilots etc.? I know that idols usually go for public service, because frankly it is easier and they not necessarily have to live in the barracks etc.?
But, please, do correct me because it is interesting.
Active duty soldier: 1 year and 6 months;
Navy: 1 year and 8 months;
Air Force: 1 year and 9 months;
They are given a 4-day-holiday after 100 days of serving.
Here is the video and while I don´t consider myself a SHINee, I stan a man of humour and Key´s videos are golden. I suggest watching his newest :D.
Here is Xiumin (EXO) and Onew (Super Junior) in the military doing a musical for the fallen soldiers. You can find some parts on youtube and it is really good!
Here is a short video of Xiumin, Key (SHINee), Changsub (BTOB), Sungkyu (Infinite), Jisung, Jokwon, Jinwun (2am) singing together :D.
Also, I´m glad for Xiumin that he had some friends there :).
D. O. (EXO). I feel like D. O. kind of fits the classical military image. Maybe it is his "no bullshit" attitude. He is in the communication services.
Suho (EXO) and Sungjae (BTOB) in the military (it is from the article, I´m not sure whether they are in the same unit).
Heechul (Super Junior) worked in the public sector during his military days and he had a leg injury which was pretty painful.
Leeteuk (Super Junior) was discharged earlier due to heavy depression (the story is very heart-breaking, I don´t know in how much detail I can go, not to trigger anyone?) which rarely happens.
Minho (SHINee) was with the marines and he won some medal of excellency.
Taecyeon (2pm) also got a medal of excellency and was a training coach during his military days.
Bang Yongguk (B. A. P.) is going to be discharged in May 2021.
I´ll add more later :).
