Straykidz music for the most part is a bunch of noise. The good songs are the ones that focus on the vocals and don't use the noise in the background to over compensate. They are talented it's just wasted on God awful songs that give me a headache.

The Kpop industry is overly saturated-It always has been, but it feels like it's becoming moreso as of late and a lot of the groups feel mediocre because perfection is demanded of each and every one of them that they all sort of blend together as a result. I remember when you could tell a rookie group was a rookie group. It was refreshing af-now it's like perfection and everything feels the same.

Imo the only good thing about k-pop nowadays is just the colorful MVs and the visuals. The music is just a mess.

Interactions between groups now don't feel genuine. They don't get to comfortably interact and joke around like they used to-yes there were sometimes scandals here and there but it was more common for guy groups and girl groups to be friends. I mean I remember when the whole N and Eunyoung thing was a big thing, and it was hilarious but oddly endearing. I mean I'll be the first to say the dating shows were cringey in a sense but they also were so cool because we got to see idols interacting with other idols without people losing their shit over it.

Irene was a bitch? So what-I bet there is an instance with every idol where they were a bitch. Just as odds are other normal people have been asshats. The only difference is Irene's was exposed to a super judgemental public. She wasn't in the right by any means, but the reaction to the scandal was over the top. I'm just glad she apologized just wish people realized bad days, mood swings, and change were a thing that happened to everyone.

STAYC was overhyped to the max. They definitely have nice vocals but so does every other group debuting nowadays. They have nothing that truly stands out to get them the hype that they have garnered. Not saying it's undeserved but that people make them out to be something incredible and new when they really aren't. They are just another everyday girl group that just debuted with the same sound as every other girl group right now. Coming from a Girl Group Stan.

I hope they release something in the future that really does make them stand out.

Butterfly by LOONA is one of their worst songs ever and I don't understand why everyone loses their minds over it. The high pitched "wings wings wings" in the background makes me want to rip my eardrums out. And it sucks because their music before that era was their best and they've gone downhill since then title track wise BUT their B-sides are killing it...if only the titles caught up.
