Tokyo was huge, diverse, expensive and very clean. You can find uniquely Japanese areas (e.g., Harajuku, the various parks and temples) and modern Westernlike areas (e.g., Shibuya, Shinjuku). Plan on staying several days if you're visiting --- 1 or 2 days are not enough.
