it’s crazy since some of them are still really young and are pretty talented to boot (plu 😭)

Lol, BP has plenty of sasaengs. Just because you don't hear about them yourself doesn't mean they aren't there.



Jennie had her Insta account hacked and didn't get it back for two months. The airport "fans" ARE sasaengs as it is basically stalking, whether it has been normalized or not. There is predebut content out there recorded by sasaengs, and plenty of fansites often toe the line between fan and sasaeng. EVERY SINGLE IDOL gets calls from sasaengs on their cell phones, whether they address it or not. I get wanting to be proud of your faves and fandom, but let's not ignore reality in order to pretend your faves don't feed directly into the vicious fan-idol relationship. It's basically a requirement to work in the industry and no group, not even BP, manages to keep from participating.

blackpink participates in it the least compared to other idols, that's my point and because of that they also experience less weird behavior from their fans. blackpink are not out here saying "blinks are our girlfriends/boyfriends", they're not out here expanding their relationship with blinks, hell bp barely ever goes on live and when they do the fanservice they give to fans is tiny compared to what other idols give their fans, same with concerts, same with fansigns, same with literally anything Blackpink has done. they're thankful for their fans but they have set up boundaries. when Jennie did get her account hacked it was not by a blink it was by an anti, and she automatically condemned the behavior and told people to leave her alone.

whether or not going to the airport to see a celebrity is stalking is subjective to the situation, a lot of the time idols enjoy fans who come to see them, are there times where it gets out of hand? yes, and I'm not excusing that at all, but an airport is a public place. where for me it crosses the line, is when people cross over into idols personal lives, where they aren't in public. and so far Blackpink hasn't experienced anything where they themselves have been harmed compared to some idols who have literally had to go to the hospitals or have had to take legal action. jennies Instagram situation was unfortunate but this was the first time in four years that Blackpink has been a group that something like that has ever happened. I'm not saying that blackpink has never experienced any weird behavior from fans in their careers, but it's always been to a lesser extent when compared to other idols who have literal horror stories when it comes to crazy fans.

Blackpink have their fair share of sasaengs. True, not as many as some other groups, but enough.
When I was in Korea last year, I saw Blackpink at Inkigayo. It was honestly not a nice experience.
When we left, we saw several Idols leave the building and there were like five cars who tried to follow Blackpink, but some staff members threat to call the police. One girl was just like „lol, they will just drive another route and follow them later.“

Sasaengs are not as loud as they used to be. On one hand it's easy to be a sasaeng, because of the internet. On the other hand it's more difficult, because companies take more drastic measures to protect their artists.
How easy was it to break into a group's dorm like 10 years ago? And no one cared, not the company or the law.
But you can find (and buy) some really disgusting stuff about Blackpink, it's just harder to get the informations.
Sasaengs are more careful, most of their accounts are locked and you have to either pay a lot of money or have some good connections to get their passwords.

Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they are not there. And they are there.

not that im aware of, ygs never took any legal actions against anybody who are actual sasaengs.
