Songs you like but got sick of due to playing too much (1 Viewer)

We all have songs we really love- to the point that we listen to it on repeat. Sometimes it's the only song we listen to for days on end. Alas, not every song can be Infinite's "The Chaser", so inevitably you have songs that you really loved but overplayed tf outta, so now you and the song both need a break from each other.

It's not a bad thing though, because coming back to a song you loved, but haven't listened to in a long time is a pretty special feeling. You fall in love all over again

I'll name three such for me:

1. EXO- Monster


It was insta love when I first listened to this It was released the same year I joined Uni and I listened to it for like my whole 1st semester lol and then got sick of it. I came back to it after like a year and it was just as good The break was necessary tho.

2. Twice- TT


I had taken a brief break from Kpop after BigBang's MADE era, and when I returned I essentially had no clue who Twice or BP were and why I kept seeing these names everywhere. I also saw TT having 300 million views at the time and I remembered that number being unheard of during my OG Kpop phase except for BigBang/SNSD so I got curious. Insta-love again, kept on listening to it for hours at a stretch too until I could take no more. Several months later, I heard it playing in some Youtube compilation and it rekindled the flame again and made me go back to it lol. Interestingly I think I've overplayed Likey even more but still not fed up

3. Momoland- Bboom Bboom


Kinda similar story to TT, I overplayed this even without headphones and even my roommates and parents got familiar with this song But they promoted it for like the whole year and by the end of it I'd had enough
I ghosted Bboom Bboom for a year and it was much later when Yeonwoo left I decided to rewatch for the memories lol, and baam! (no pun intended ) back in love^^

I also have some others like Bon Bon Chocolat, Wannabe, Very Very Very lol.
I think the only RV songs I've really overplayed too many times too soon are Peekaboo and Red Flavor, but it wasn't for as long so I didn't really get fed up of them.

Rough is one I tend to rarely listen to nowadays from how much I overplayed it when I was first into it and it's the only one that comes to mind really as usually it's just that I end up listening to other stuff naturally but still listen to it once in a while

Ah yes it happened to me with Fingertip lol, to the point that if I hear it playing I'll listen to the whole song but won't hit play by myself. And even if it came up on shuffle I'd skip
