Season 1, 2 and the movie... instead of digging into my hefty 'plan to watch' list of 70 animes


It was just as good as the first time


Does anyone else have any animes they end up rewatching like at least every 2 years instead of watching something new? I think the animes i've rewatched the most are Blue Exorcist, Tokyo Ghoul, Elfen Lied, Shaman King and My Hero Academia (even tho I watched it for the first time last year kek i'm on like 3 and a half rewatches). I was gonna rewatch Toilet Bound Hanako-kun too

These days I rarely watch new shows and instead just rewatch my old favorites. Ones I rewatch more often than others are magi, baka no test, and kuroko no basket.

I used to rewatch one piece like every year, but it's gotten so long that by the time I'm done, I'm super burnt out of the series 💀

Honestly getting into MHA was scary for me cuz it takes a lot for me to commit to really long series and I honestly think i'm never gonna be able to get myself to watch stuff like One Piece or Naruto cuz it's just so long and i'm not sure if imma be there for the ride

I feel like I go through phases of wanting to discover every new anime out there and then just wanting to rewatch the ones I already know I like and am comfortable with. The only new anime i've watched/started recently is Jujutsu Kaisen because everyone I follow on twitter who likes MHA keeps posting about it and I didn't wanna unfollow but also didn't want spoilers cuz it sounded up my alley even if I wasn't looking for new shows to watch atm

Like watching new shows is great and I love adding more shows I discover to my rewatch list but it's also a lot of effort to go through them to find all these shows you might love when you already have a list of shows you already know you like and you don't have to go through all the effort of finding them!

Yeah exactly! I definitely want to watch more new shows at some point, but I'm really bad at committing to them so I would usually drop them halfway.

It's so much easier to just watch stuff that you're already familiar with and know you love.

I hate dropping shows like it's so stressful cuz it's like I wanna finish this just so it's finished but I just can't find the energy! It's so frustrating. It's happened twice with kdramas I think and once on an anime with only 12 episodes because I was just so bored. I really try to be careful with what I watch now cuz I hate getting that realisation that you're just never gonna finish something
