all the drama was annoying to deal with and the classes usually felt useless

spent three years hating it and in the end realised it was my mistake for being so dumb to fight against the world. :D
it´s really not that bad if you give other people a chance :) and especially if you give yourself a chance :)
but I preferred the teaching style at uni, it was easier to learn on my own terms. way more independent and I could actually dive into things that really interested me. however, I went to a specialised high school and it taught me a lot about real life :).

I think it depends on the curriculum and the teachers
I've always been more of a fan of the "useless" classes like philosophy and history anyways
