Remote work or office work? What do you prefer?

I agree that it is cheaper and faster to just work from home, no need to take the bus, sub etc BUT I also find it more difficult to have a work/life balance. When you go to the office, the computer remains there... at home, another story :\

I prefer a mixture of 2 days at the office and the remainder for working from home.

One thing I've found helpful when working from home is to still have some sort of office routine: Change clothes before starting the workday, take a break for lunch, move to different locations around the house, etc.

Remote so I don't have to go out in the cold and I can sleep in. Of course my work is with me, but I purposely turn away from it when I'm off the clock. It's helping.

Despite not really working a day in my life. I've worked on projects at home and in person. There is a difference and I can say 100%, people tend to be more involved and responsible when stuff is done in person. Talking over discord or other stuff just doesn't cut it often times... I can imagine in a system where everyone is responsible it can work but otherwise naaah.

Yes, the "sleeping in" aspect is great. It's nice not to have to get up so early in order to commute in to work.

for real, it's much better and motivational when more people are working together, f2f even if it's a school/uni project. Even the library is motivational because everybody is doing stuff. At home... well... much more tempting to check social media bcs nobody is behind you to make you feel bad

Ah yes, that too. I'm also a bit biased cause I'm often a project leader so I get pissed when people don't do stuff and people do stuff even less when they don't see me while I'm murdering them with my eyes

Oh, and I've also begun to pay attention to what clothing looks good for Zoom (or some other form of remote video) meetings. Black works well for me.
