She might go bk and do a Victoria on us, or a Tiffany n stay on in South Korea. I love her/bias her so much n want her to be the model idol for (G)I-dle(i was thinking of unstanning if the rumblings of soojin being dismissed were true, or gidle being diminished becos of her situation).
I think i will continue on as i hv been with gidle (regardless of soojin) becos marko reminded me of yuqi being the best idol rn.

I don't think she could pull a Tiffany because she doesn't hold enough power to be a successful soloist in Korea. I am 100% positive she will have amazing solo career in China once (G)I-DLE disbands, but I don't think she'll be doing solo works outside OSTs and promo songs.

I think she shd go regional tho, cos she isnt cute enuf for china market-imo. She gives a Faye Wong/Anita Mui badder-ass vibe which isnt as popular in China i think. Even Cecilia Cheung isnt doing tat well now. Im unsure where outside Chine Yuqi would be best located tho.

From how the company described it however it sounded like a pre-release for Dreamcatchers comeback and was included on the album like one normally would be along with only getting a special clip which Dreamcatcher usually does for their bsides

It probably kinda counts the same way officially as did YoonA, Hyoyeon or Amber's solo debuts, which are wat im mostly familiar with.

Non ost/non sm station i think, or non collab, so DC Siyeon solo debuted already,(unless they backtrack n in future claim a mini-album is her solo debut-did any company try to bktrack n do tat b4?)

I think that's pretty normal for pre-releases to get released like that though nowadays even if they'll be included in the comeback when it happens but for this situation it'd come down to unofficial versus official I guess as you could argue this was Siyeons solo debut but I don't think it was intended to be an official solo debut and more so feeling out for interest in one while giving her a chance to show off her singing and song writing.

The demographic audience for idols are general younger, and they’re a lot more open and care less about politics (or at least they’re a lot less nationalistic on average compared to older generations)
I think her going to china could be a good decision career-wise, as long as she has strong enough a Chinese fanbase that she wouldn’t even need an international one to sustain her

Im just doubtful ever since "Chase Me", yuqi hasnt been as prominent in China as well as the pandemic preventing her visiting in 2020. If she was signed to a chinese agency(or china linked agency) like yiren, id be more optimistic but i dont think yuqi shd put all her eggs in one basket-china.
For wat you say, i think its early 20s celebs who can benefit from qcyn/chuang. Even older celebs i believe find it hard getting traction from shows like the voice china or tat show tat tried to get Faye n Ceci on together, youngsters might not care enuf abt yuqi by the time she returns there unless she's Victoria lvl star in both korea n china by then.
Seems doubtful as she isnt leader, or main singer/dancer/visual/fotg/maknae of gidle. If im pleasantly surprised by the opposite tho, ill cheer her on from afar.
