Former A-JAX member Yunyoung criticized Hyunjoo.

Yunyoung, a former A-JAX member and DSP Media labelmate, wrote a long post on his Instagram story. The story read,



"I'm so upset so I'll just lay out the facts. When you talk to your friends, do you just tell them the truth? People automatically end up saying only their side instead of objectively laying out both sides when you're ranting to friends. Hyunjoo was probably upset because things didn't go her way. But the [April members] had it worse. Hyunjoo, sorry, but I gotta say what I gotta say. Because of you, I feel so bad for the kids... While I was in DSP Media, I saw the entire thing that April went through. Hyunjoo suddenly stopped coming to practice and schedules were broken all the time. It's true you can be sick and weak. But then you should've quit early. But you wanted to do what you wanted and you wanted to take it easy. How can you live like that? You're not a soloist - you're in a team. These girls would cry until their eyes were swollen in the training room. If they tried to talk to her, she wouldn't listen. Members spend more time together than family.



Everyone knows that Hyunjoo is the visual. But if you can't follow, then you should've worked harder than anyone else. I only saw a one-sided story so I think you have to know the facts. Stop saying that no one just stood by and watched and that they were all perpetrators. Hyunjoo, the members really worked hard to keep the group... You only wanted to shine yourself, but the members put the team and the fans first.. You were all young so it was probably hard to hide, but how can they bully you when you refused to listen to anything or talk? You were bullied? Please stop hurting people by just going with the ride.

And Somin, who's a KARD member right now... She's someone who worked so hard when she was little without trying to pull any stops. She used to lead April as their leader and by keeping her tears back as they practiced choreography. Is it a crime to work hard? They worked so hard to be here, so maybe she didn't want them to success? Hyunjoo, I support your future. I hope no one gets hurt."

Oh yikes, tbh as long as Hyunjoo herself doesn't say anything I'm not too sure what to believe. Could it be that the members were upset with her and had some fights but it wasn't bullying? Could it be she actually was bullied? The DSP statement doesn't really help much.

Well Naeun had bullying accusations against her a bit before Hyunjoos and the knetizen who made them backtracked on them so if Naeun was a bully you'd think those would have stuck with her like they did on some others.

Chaekyung and Rachel joining after this also raises my suspicions since if even just the four members still from the original lineup were like a clique together then wouldn't they be on the receiving end as well but they're still with the group.

So if you combine both sides of what we have so far it seems that there was tension within the group because of Hyunjoo's fragility and as a result she wouldn't come to practices and if you know anything practices are long hours, daunting and take a lot out of you. So I can see why the other members would be frustrated with her if they were pulling these long hours as a group trying to get their name out there while she didn't even come to practice despite not being sick just a bit frail. But then coming to their stages and performing like she had worked with them this whole time.

Does that excuse them possibly being dicks to her? Hell no. But it does give a bit more perspective to where their actions and frustration might've been coming from. If this is true I can see how both sides had some issues and it wasn't completely ONE side's fault. If Hyunjoo really couldn't handle the idol life she should've moved on sooner.

But the girls shouldn't have been dicks even if she wasn't showing up to practices. So I don't know. I'll just wait for more to come out at this point.

I think this time the two sides work as they don't cancel out each other and you can make a complete narrative with them together where Hyunjoo and the other April members being together just did not coincide as a comprehensive unit and ended up creating a toxic environment without necessarily making a villain out of anyone.

Yeah this situation seems like something that could happen to normal people too as to its core they just should not have been working together as an idol group and maybe if Hyunjoo had of stayed as an actress they'd get along even
