One By One is an adult thriller book that I believe takes place at a work retreat that happens in a nice little rented out resort but then naturally people start disappearing or dying and you are a character are trying to survive. This is one of the books i have yet to read so that's all I know about it.
The Seven Ways We Lie is basically told from 7 different perspectives of teenagers in school as they deal with a rumor kind of coming out that a student is having an affair with a teacher. And each chapter or perspective kind of has a different reaction to the news, handles it differently and all of them also have their own struggles they are going through and to top it all off each perspective is also meant to represent one of the seven deadly sins. You kind of as the reader get to deduce which is which-which I personally liked also there was some rep I believe for autism and asexuality in this book that I enjoyed. Or maybe it was aromantic not asexual. But yeah I liked it.
Maybe-not knocking audiobooks but some of the way Hopkin's formats some of her stories adds a bit to it and allows for the book or page to be read two ways.Matter fact, one of my sisters I live with have a lot of her books. Maybe I'll get through one now

We used to have a mahogany shelf in the living room but thats the only one I know because obviously a red tinged wood would stand out to lil 5 year old me as opposed to literally any other shade of brown wood so thats the only shelf I ever asked about
Mahogany shelves are cool, or any other dark wood ig, I like dark wood
