Hey guys, as stated in the title, let's talk BTS and the Grammys. Now, we know that bts were nominated for best/pop duo group and they are going against the following Big house names:
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
UN DIA (ONE DAY)- J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny & Tainy
INTENTIONS- Justin Bieber Featuring Quavo
DYNAMITE- BTS
RAIN ON ME- Lady Gaga with Ariana Grande
EXILE- Taylor Swift Featuring Bon Iver
To be honest, the chances of them winning are kinda slim in my opinion especially since they are going against powerhouses like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande. But if they don't win. I do not want to hear Army's pull out the racism card talking about the grammy's are racist and then turning around and attacking other groups. They def can't pull out the racist card because hell, The Weeknd did not even get nominated for anything and Blinding Lights was one of the best songs to drop last year. After hours his album deserved more too.

this thread reminded me how completely clueless i am when it comes to modern music outside of kpop, the only songs i know here are dynamite and exile :wonugl: i listened to rain on me once but by now i forgot it exists. anyway i highly doubt bts will win, if they do then good for them but i think being nominated is big enough of an achievement

Yeah, I agree. I think that either T Swift or Lady Gaga and AG might win. And Army can't vote on this one because it's not like the billboard music awards where you get to vote. The Grammy's has a panel of people who decide who wins and who doesn't win. I just don't need a repeat of last year where army's attacked American singers and other kpop groups even though BTS weren't even nominated, and called everybody racist.

There is always a chance, but grammys aren't rly popularity contest so I guess they won't win it.

Yeah, If you saw my last reply, The Grammys have a panel of people who decides who wins and who doesn't win so it's out of Army's control at this point. They already did good by being nominated.

I think they have bigger than a slight chance to win and tbh, armys have every right to call out the Grammys.

If western artists and their fanbase can do it, why can't armys do the same thing? It's not like what they are saying is false.

The Grammys are xenophobic when it comes to music and they treat BTS like they are novelty artists. Nominating them for an album cover when Love Yourself Tear was their best pop album. Making them perform with Lil Nas X when 2019 was arguably their best year in America etc.
