Do you like horror games? (1 Viewer)

I kinda have really weird relationship with horror games. I don't watch horror movies and I don't have any interest in doing that. I also don't play any horror games myself. But I like watching playthroughs of them and I usually end up really liking the lore and the story of the game. Many of the horror games are surprisingly touching and deep, for example Soma which stopped being scary and started being just sad and philosophical after I found out what was going on in the story

But still- can't play them myself. At least not without seeing what the game is and knowing what is coming next.

i often hear almost the same from people when it comes to horror movies
i will never understand why some people like to see so much horror
because when it happens to yourself in real life you would not enjoy it, yet on a screen when it is fake it is enjoyable?
