and if so in what manner? do / did you talk about mental health at school?

There was a therapist, so yeah? Lol I remember when i told her that I'm gay and the whole time she was like "maybe you aren't" XD one of our teachers said that the therapist actually gossiped about what we shared x) they were on bad terms so maybe it was a lie, who knows u.u

it wasn´t :D. I mean, a therapist should not gossip, but whatever you share with a school psychologist is shared with the whole room of teachers later. it is however unprofessional to GOSSIP, it is rather to help to create a school environment which is suitable for that student. if a student shares that he/she is depressed the psychologist might share that info with others to help accomodate the student. unfortunately, there are these who will turn everything into a dirty gossip :/. I´m sorry if it happened in your school. that was unprofessional. however , therapists often share their clients´ stories if you want it or not. that´s just how it is. they just do it without names obviously.

but you know what they say "your secret is safe with me...., my partner and my best friend" :D.

in high school there was literally nothing. in middle school they tried but ended up making it worse. the teachers were like "if you're having problems then you can always tell us" but there was no "us" they could talk to and the teachers were often the reason of many students' mental health problems. there were teachers throwing insults at students, calling us failures and said it was to motivate us to study after we got a lot of bad grades. there was some kind of counselor but it was just a former P.E teacher who had absolutely no experience in this field and her office was only open 3 hours a day anyway.

your school just sounds like hell. but counsellor offices shouldn´t be open 24/7. :D three hours a day is a luxury.

4th-6th grade school i went to did, but it was ASS. i only went there once and never again cause they didn't even try to comfort me at all (i was sobbing) they just tried to make it seem like it was nothing by saying "they're just kids!"
