money, blood, food, time (volunteering), are you registered as an organ donor?,...

i know some people don't believe in giving homeless people money because they might use it for drugs or booze, or dont donate blood and organs because its against their religious beliefs. this is not a thread for bragging or shaming, i would just love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

I am an organ donor in the case of an untimely death according to my choice on my license
But in terms of charities I dont donate to one, I am a patron of a youtuber I like tho

i usually don't carry any money that i am not planning to spend near me so if i don't give homeless people money it is simply because i do not have anything, but if it happens then is it an amount that i don't care at all what happens to it. never donated blood because i physically wouldn't stand having my blood taken unless i really had to for medical reasons or something.

When I could, I used to sponsor poor children through one of those charities. If I were now to donate to the poor, I'd choose local charities instead of those international ones.

do you have to sign up to become an organ donor where you're from? here in belgium everyone is assumed to be an organ donor unless they officially declare that it's against their wishes.

Not much. I have donated couple times via paypal and then if i have extra money on store I might put some coins in the pot. I think it would be cool to do more, but I'm not sure where to donate.

when you get your license you are asked if you want it put on your drivers license so i think its voluntary but idk what happens if u dont have a drivers license

yea that's great advice, you should always do research and be conscious of who/what you're donating to. it's unfortunate that so many charities have such sketchy origins and practices..

I do sometimes donate to homeless people and buskers. not every time though, but when I have some extra on me, I do. I have donated to a couple of charities, but I cannot say I´m a Samaritan. I could do more, but I´m saving up atm.

Not really. I used to give my extra coins to a homeless person on my way to the market during lunch break. And other homeless people too. Got admit I often avoided doing it, since there's that one person at the park who pretends to be homeless but has been seen getting out of an expensive car in one of our resorts. There are other examples too. Not saying everyone is like that though.
