I have a lot I think. I say "like" in all of my sentences basically. I also say "lit", actually say lmao, etc. I hate my habits

it’s an odd mix between formal and informal registers
I’d randomly use fancy jargon-like lingo whilst still using a lot of slang, it’s weird
also, I tend to be very expressive with my face and hands

i'd say i do something similar where I go f rom saying something is "lit" to using a random wordy word that i don't even know the definition for well LOL

I think I get it from my friends lol, we have a system of fake laws in place and to indicate the breaking of one such law, we need to start it by saying “Hence we can deduce that this is illegal play, and therefore breaks (article whatever section whatever)”
I think the new it phrase rn with us is “we live in a microcosm” to explain any weird conversation tangents we have
