WM Entertainment has become a label of RBW Entertainment.

On April 7, RBW announced, “We are acquiring WM Entertainment, the agency of groups Oh My Girl, B1A4, and ONF.”

RBW completed a SPA (sales and purchase agreement) with WM Entertainment’s largest shareholder on March 31, acquiring 70 percent of WM Entertainment’s shares and bringing in the company as a subsidiary.

The two companies will now work on creating synergy through close cooperation. .

RBW is home to artists including MAMAMOO, ONEUS, ONEWE, and PURPLE KISS, while WM Entertainment houses artists such as Oh My Girl, B1A4, ONF, and IZ*ONE’s Lee Chae Yeon.

RBW’s CEO Kim Jin Woo commented, “WM Entertainment is a company that has grown quickly in the entertainment industry in Korea and internationally through their capabilities in discover and training artists. As each company has accumulated different know-hows, we will display new synergy while working together. Developing strategic business based on content IP (intellectual property), we will work to lead K-content culture across the world beyond Korea.”

With this acquisition, WM Entertainment will operate as an independent label of RBW and maintain their current management.

Hitman Bang did involve himself in Gfriend's cb after acquisition. I was ok with it but iv heard dissatisfaction with ruining them. But i think since Fever Gfriend has not kept the gp interest as much as they did when Me Gustas Tu n Navillera era.

Does RBW hv anyone similar to Bang/management interference which might adversely impact WM? If no, maybe OMG n others are in a good place then.

B1A4 aren't a kband, they're a dance act. They were the first artist to debut under WM, and their money alone built WM's building. Hitman Bang was only in Labyrinth and From Me in the Labyrinth album though and then when people liked Labyrinth more than Crossroads he then worked on the title song for Song of the Sirens being Apple and since Apple got received well proceeded to work on Mago for Walpurgis Night which was also received well so I think if anything Gfriends direction is less of a result of the Big Hit merge and more of a result of Crossroads leaving people unhappy.

Wow, tats a surprise to me. Im getting blindsided by the media's over focusing on big3/bh bosses being exkpop in LSM/JYP/YG's cases n Bang's producing. To overlooking/deemphasising(or ignoring outright, maybe it's just me being ignorant tho) So Sungjin, Lee Wonmin n Kim Dohoon roles in their respective agencies/companies, not sexy/clickbaity enuf is my guess. Maybe they prefer it tat way, or maybe it will change if RBW/WM/SouMu get more high profile/even more successful from now on. Btw, wats ur source for the Gfriend bkstory? Oh, you extrapolated all tat from the credits then. Big brain at work, im v impressed, cos even if i read all the credits-id forget the 1st by the time i get to the 3rd/last. Same with Everglow 77.29, i cant extrapolate from their 5 releases unless i did a study module with tables n stuff(i nvr did uni n im a artist/graphix guy.) Still interesting wat u wrote abt crossroads/labyrinth/apple/mago, i think iv been on record saying i like labyrinth more than crossroads, n liked apple n mago too. so im in for bang working on gfriend releases.
