Im just curious why HYBE
has gone on this weird trend to let artist do solo work...
but not realise any proper physical copies...

ok yes bts member have physical albums.. but not kpop style just in the plastic cases
what most people dont want to collect

why no high quality albums...
and why not promote the album
why no full agustd/jimin/jhope etc album it would sell so why not

like until i did quick google i didnt even know about them even having a physical copy

i just really want to have a full shelf of agustd albums and hoshi

but please give them high quality albums

as sorry i dont really count plastic case albums as proper albums tbh
as look "bad" on album shelfs

even sm puts more effort into group solo work
you would thought bighit would put more effort into solo pushes
specially when bts getting close to military and seventeen is only 2 years behind

Most don't have solo albums, just solo songs in group albums. The closest they have are Suga, RM and jhope's mixtapes, the point is that they're free and people can consume them without paying but leaving it on the web so that the artists can receive some revenue if possible (which is not possible in all cases because some also have unlicensed samples, as classic mixtapes would). I don't think it's lazy, it gets to the point, focuses on the artistry and it makes it far more friendly towards fans and artists alike. Monetizing the ones that have unlicensed samples is also illegal, of course.

Rappers release mixtapes. Doing photobooks and the like might be too "idol" for them and how they wanna represent themselves as individuals.

Honestly, HYBE is being a massive idiot by not releasing physical albums and letting them perform on stages on their own, there's amny places besides music shows that you can go to as well

Lets be honnest both agustd and jhope most recent songs would of been insane on stage
imagine a mama full stage on daechwita with insane effects.. fire
jhope would of had massive dance break etc

there really no excuse apart from they dont want to push them sololy because they may become close to bts success solo and may want to pursue that when get close to end of this contract

jhopes realises were more idol than rap tbh
plus they are idols so fans would expect the same quality through out there work
not for it to be lowered just cause the rap line is doing solo work
cause trust it wont sit well if the vocal line get physical copies when the rap line didnt
