In my case, I listen mostly to female groups; but I don't think it's because I prefer it that way. I currently am focusing on idol groups, and whenever I make playlists, it's all of idol music. In addition, the groups I follow are alt-idols, and those are all girlgroups. The male soloist that I listen to the most is Hyde, and I rarely do a playlist consisting/including non-idol music, so i have had rock/metal bands largely unlistened. LOL

If I were to do a playlist of Japanese metal bands, there'd be a big selection of all-female bands; but my actual favourites might gravitate around male fronted bands. Galneryus is my top favourite metal band, and it's an all-male band.

yeah that's true, in pop music I usually listen to females but whenever I listen to rock it can be both.
BUT FEMALE ROCK BANDS ARE HARDER TO FIND SMH
