News Companies taking legal action. (1 Viewer)

Just scrolling through Twitter and some news sites and seeing a whole slew of common denominators: celebs being rumored to have ties with the entire scandal promptly followed (and in some cases preemptively given) by their company refusing to let malicious rumors continue further.

If people haven't realized that this is more than just one or two idols being gross by now, not to mention the entire chunk of corruption and scandal regarding Burning Sun and the other clubs that likely tie into some of the Kakaotalk chatrooms due to businesses being run and invested with some of the same names, then lord help those people.

So far:

Kang Daniel
Lee Hongki
Lee Jonghyun
Choi Jonghoon
EXO (specifically Sehun, though the statement from SM was about rumors regarding the entire group)
Lee Chung Ah
Jung Yu Mi
Oh Yeon Seo
Oh Cho Hee

Other names have been brought up too in rumor, of course, but not enough to catch wind by their agencies or become much more than a few people spreading false rumors.

The above list is, obviously, expected to continue growing in the next few days, especially following the questioning of JJY and Seungri by the police about the KKT and entirety of the situation.

It is nice to have (most of the time) swift response from the companies. We are all aware this doesn't 100% free anyone from suspicion or prove absolute innocence, but in a case like this with so many players in both the entertainment industry as well as large corporations and political ties, there is still something to be said for the brief comfort in having agencies threaten damaging rumors.

That's good. I feel like being friends with him isn't enough to claim they were in on it too anyways.

At the same time though I do wonder if some idol friends knew but were complicit and said/did nothing.

At this point I don't even know if getting all the group chat members names will give my mind any ease

A few of the above names are women, and I couldn't agree more with your sentiments.

The female reporter that first mentioned the KKT though recently mentioned that most of the victims were not celebrities.

To clarify, by the way, the names mentioned above are those that have been cleared/said by their companies that they have no connection with the current situations, not those being accused with evidence.

They need to make swift responses right now. I don't know if yall have been following the stocks but right now the scandal is snowballing and EVERYONE's stocks are plummeting. SM's even fell as low 11% and JYP 4.5%. It's in the company's best interest to keep management at the top of their game right now.
