I just started watching Death Note. It's not really my type but it feels like I have to watch the classics.

You guys should watch Naruto. When I first watched I got bored of the first season but I ended up watching Shippuden by skipping over every filler arc. I quit season 1 after about 50 episodes the first time but I'm currently in the process of rewatching it all. I definitely recommend Shippuden though.
