How to overcome a lack of ambition? (1 Viewer)

- make up your mind on what you really want
- think up ways how you can achieve it
- write out the set goal (getting into uni, changing a job etc.) personally when I see my goals written it helps me a lot. perhpas because I like to crossing out things that I have done - it´s a thing :D
- divide (and rule :)) don´t expect yourself to finish everything at once, set small goals, step by step. all you need to do is just keep swimming;
- treat yourself (finished one step, buy something nice, do something nice for yourself) APPRECIATE YOURSELF and your own efforts
- never compare yourself to the rest of people (easier said than done, but it can be learnt) they are awesome, but so are you
- JUST DO IT, literally stop dreaming, start doing

Worst thing is I've felt this way for about 2 years already

yeah I can see myself continuing with that, I did send out multiple job applications, but in this city it seems that nobody wants me
and moving out isn't possibly right now either to go try someplace else

well changing a job is hard enough. I know that from my experience and especially my parents´. you just have to keep trying, no matter how annoying it is. my mum was jobless for 6 years till she found something. we don´t talk about that though :D. you are doing better and you still have a job, so rationally speaking... some money and something better will soon come up. people also change jobs, they move out... pfff, just don´t give up and in the meantime, you can study or so?

i don't know if there is always need to be ambitious, going with the flow doesn't seem like bad choice either
