I think either would do for me, as long as it's nothing like that cramped, horribly rundown apartment my parents and I stayed in until we bought our house. (well, it's my parents' house now, since I've moved out). I'm not even kidding - like, the kitchen was barely big enough to cook in, the windows were weak asf and had zero insulation, there was only, iirc, one or two bedrooms and three of us... yeah, it was THAT BAD.

I like cramped and cozy spaces, don't have a lot of stuff, and houses are just too much effort to maintain
With an apartment, most of the maintenance is someone else's job, I just have to clean which isn't so bad.

yea apartments are def easier to live in!! i just have a lot of junk so i need a lot of space lmao
