just asking as no one, literally, no one has ever respected my opinion or like wishes or anything :D.

also what does respect mean to you? and do you easily respect people or do you have a bit of a problem with authorities?

the people around me are really nice people so it’s easy to gain respect on my opinion.

what respect means to me? Based off my culture it would mean not going out late at night and not doing stuff that would make other people think bad of you or your family and that is how you gain respect for you and your family in my culture. But i don’t agree with that because if a woman gets raped she loses all her respect in the eyes of others. So respect for me would be being admired by people for your good works

Basic human respect yes, like hearing opinion and ideas, treating people decently.
other degrees of respect depends on the stituation if especially in terms of a working environment.
Authority to a degree I respect but that doesn't i won't question them if something doesn't add up.
Trust and respect doesn't always come together with me though, as I can respect you but that doesn't mean I trust in you.

I think that there are always people who take advantage of. But generally I would say that obviously what is important how you treat others

I don't believe on "respect has to be earned". To me respect should be default attitude, and it should remain until it's lost for whatever reason. The easiest way of me losing respect on someone is disrespectful behavior.
