i mean things you need to get done by the day. i tend to struggle with that, I work really well long term and short term I just struggle to focus.

Isn't that normal for most human beings? Things we have been doing for a long time can be done by instinct while things we are unfamiliar with makes us uncomfortable & can affect our emotions.

i mean, none of my family is the same way so I wonder how normal it is. i have been used to working every day during the school years to tutor, but it is still a struggle for me to keep an eye on everything and just stay up to date on how to help students. Working on longer-term goals (such as studying for a baccalaureate rather than today's homework) is always easier for me. however, my mother struggles if she doesn't have something to do in a day. She struggles with long-term tasks such as paying bills, and much rather prefers just tidying or cooking.

Tidying & cooking can be counted as a long term task as that is something that she probably have done countless times while paying bills can be counted as something new to her so she can struggle on that.

Tutoring & doing today's homework can fall into being something new as you have to keep up with the latest curriculum and focus on shoring up the student's weaknesses. But isn't that why us humans keep studying just so we can apply that knowledge we gained to make some sort of contribution/living somewhere down the road when we finish studying.

Somewhere along the path of your life, you will probably find something which can alleviate that sense of struggle. For example, finding a job you are extremely comfortable with & getting home to do your favorite things (for me its being on ks). We won't entirely eliminate every source of things that can contribute to that feeling but i feel like life would be boring if we are not challenged/stressed out once in a while.

I would like to add, if you feel like it can be overwhelming, take a break & do whatever it is you do to release your stress (for me, its watching korean dramas)

i recently finished a korean drama, I'll have to go on a hunt for more. but thanks for the advice, its just been kinda tiring for me

I know, 12-13 years ago, i was juggling between 2-3 part time jobs to support my school expenses & at many points i felt utterly hopeless, thankfully i had a caring boyfriend back then . I hope things will be much better for you soon.
