watching or playing horror games?

I usually only watch others play horror games altho I've completed my own fair share of them

I like watching them a lot, but don't like playing them myself. Many horror games have actually pretty good and sad stories, and reactions from players can be fun to watch. But i know i would be nervewreck if i tried to play myself. One of few ones I have played is Until Dawn, but that was only after seeing couple playthroughs so there was nth that could rly surprise or scare me that much.

i wish i could play the games solo without becoming a big baby and terrifying myself- i just content myself with watching someone else play them. then i'm not alone and it's not as scary, and the amusing commentary and reactions are helpful too.

especially in games where there is something chasing you i usually get all worked up and have to pause the game cuz its so stressful

i tend to yelp or scream when scared even by games, so i feel like abstaining from playing them is doing a public service

Neither, I’m too much of a wuss to play/watch horror gaming.

I can watch them fine.
I can also play them fine when... But I have to have the background music off. Its not so much the what's going on in the game more the music that makes me uneasy, but the music is a good indicator for trouble so I end up having it on just somewhat low.
