I would've posted this yesterday, but I was busy, and by the time I thought about it, it was nighttime already lol so here we are, at like 1:30 am on the 12th...

I was in 10th grade German class. We were working on schoolwork when the teacher suddenly turned the lights off and the TV on, just in time for the news to break that there had been a terrorist attack on NYC. ofc I was stupid and oblivious at the time and couldn't think of anything besides how the Backstreet Boys were doing. I knew they were on their Black & Blue tour at the time, somewhere in the Northeast, and yeah, all my obsessed ass could think of was "what if they were on that plane?" lol the boys in my class had an absolute field day with that one, suffice it to say, and I didn't have any idea til years later that not only were they nowhere near NYC (in Boston), but they were headed in the complete opposite direction (towards Toronto).
