She’s not an ordinary squirrel collecting acorns and other nuts to store for the winter months.
She’s collecting blood.
Her story is a bit bloody >.> if it wasn't clear enough

She was born in 1926 during the peak of the zombie squirrel crisis. What was the zombie squirrel crisis? Well . . . humans were contaminating drinking water so much so, it started mutant living creatures around them.
Squirrels were the first victims. They went through a slow death process but they were never fully dead.

This is where the term "zombie" was coined. Don't look it up. I'm never wrong.

Mage’s case was quite unique. She didnt turn into a zombie. She turned into a vampire. She got bit by a zombie bat, thus setting off a different chain of events creating the first vampire squirrel.

She discovered she could turn her other zombie squirrel friends into vampires too but because this is some true blood shit, she killed them so she’d be the only vampire squirrel alive.

So back to the story. She doesn’t collect acorns. No. She collects squirrel blood bags. EF+ is her favorite blood type. She says it tastes like macadamia nuts.
