My bias line in Verivery (I can never choose just one in my ult groups :crycry:) are Minchan, Yongseung and Dongheon, and in The Wind my bias is Thanatorn at the moment. I'm not into Lovelyz enough to have a bias yet! What are your fave songs of those groups? :)

I'm a BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG verivery 2019-20 supremacy person so I'm gonna have to say Tag Tag Tag the loml, the music video is great as well
Hi teen for the Wind though Whoo! is reaching up there
And it's hard to pick for Lovelyz, I love Rain (not much of a ballad person but what do you know?), hug me, and just and triangle and twinkle :3

Hbu???? Also favourite songs for TWS?

My favourite song for Verivery is hard, but I'm gonna have to say Super Special, Tap Tap and Ring Ring Ring are all up there (also a bright VRVR supremacist), as well as Trigger. For b-sides, Love Line, Fine, Raincoat, Flower, Paradise, and Moment (2020) off the top of my head. They just have such a good discog!

For The Wind, I like most of their title tracks and a lot of their b-sides pretty equally, but I'd have to say Hello My First Love, I Don't Think and We Go.

For Lovelyz, probably Ah-Choo and That Day are tied, but it's very hard! If I had to pick one, probably Ah-Choo. Honestly, I haven't listened to many of their b-sides though, what do you recommend?

For TWS, easily Hey Hey is my #1, and If I'm S, Will You Be My N is #2. Hey Hey was my #1 song of the summer for 2024, a mix of a nice, bright concept with a pop-rock sound that always gets me hooked! Like I said in my intro thread, I reaaaalllyyyy need them to stay with their youthful concept. We can't have The Wind carrying the entire bg industry on their backs, can we? Also do you have any ZB1 song recs? Somehow I've not listened to much of their music either.

Also, how did you get into these groups, if you don't mind me asking? :)

YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ME WITH TWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEY HEY SUPREMACY!!!! SUMMER BEAT SUPREMACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GET YOU!!!! I'm hoping they stay with that sound too. I do like Last Festival (I'm actually, FINALLY, getting into them because of that song) but it's nice as a seasonal release, not a full sound change. Hopefully Pledis harkens back early Astro/Seventeen (whilst also being different and unique, of course) and doesn't do a whole switch like they did, they'll be a time but the time is not now!

I have to rehear Verivery's bsides again (I only remember Curtain Call and Velocity well) Tap Tap plus pre/debut songs are so REAL!!!! Ring Ring is a hit classic forever

Ah choo and That Day are total bangers, and like Verivery I gotta relisten to The Wind's stuff but I remember all those songs being good.

You would fucking love In Bloom, very fluffy in a way, energetic and bright af, their japanese title tracks also look like they'd be up your alley in terms of concepts. My favourite bsides are personally Insomnia, back to zerobase and Kids' zone, but I think you'd also get a kick out of Melting Point

SUCH A GREAT QUESTION:
- Verivery i've known since predebut/debut and they were on my radar through 2019-21. I fell (???) out of them after rtk since other groups came on my radar (onf/golcha/cravity) but I still checked out their releases and title tracks, I remember enjoying O a lot
- The Wind I've known from debut but I became really interested when they released Hi-Teen, shit's soty, it's just taken me a long time to listen that discography
- Lovelyz I got into on the year of their disbandment ;-; but I just dived into their music and fucking loved it.
- TWS is like The Wind where I've casually liked their stuff but unlike The Wind I've actually looked into their discography and love it, no bad song yet! Idk how huge they'll be to me but I'm definitely gonna be following them from now on

Hbu?? Especially with Verivery?

(Faceplanted off the face of the earth after finals LOL)

I also love early Astro and Seventeen! Honestly, if Seventeen had a more similar concept now to their early sound I would SO be into them. I'm finally getting into Astro (just bought Hide and Seek on iTunes last week) after them being in my peripherary for ages because Moonbin and Sanha cohosted Show Champion with Kangmin and there being a lot of Aroha/Verrer combos because of that, at least back a while ago.

You have such good taste! I remember waiting for years for a bright VRVR comeback (as my old Tweets attest to very passionately) so when Tap Tap finally came out (and got them their first win!) it was THE BEST FEELING EVER!! Do you like their most recent release? (Side note, it's insane that it's been a year and a half since they properly released music--the only thing since is (and I only just found this out!) that they did some OST songs for the sequel to a video game or whatever that they did an OST for back in 2019! I was freaking over the moon to have Verivery new music crumbs in 2024.)

I just listened to In Bloom and Sweat and I really like them both! Especially Sweat. But I feel like In Bloom is totally gonna grow on me in the next couple of listens. I'll get back to you on the rest of those songs!

I've found I think all of my favourite groups through YouTube videos actually! I remember I found Verivery through a video from a channel called "Younger Days" back in early 2019 a month or two after Ring Ring Ring came out called "Modern Songs with 90s Vibes" since this was the beginning of my obsession with the 90s. From there I got into other groups, starting with SNSD when I found Into The New World (seriously still my fave song of all time probably) through another video, probably "most iconic kpop songs" or something like that. Pretty much all my other faces ditto, I think probably through Christian horse girl videos once I started liking that genre when I found out about GFRIEND. (I can't remember how I found them though.)

If I'm honest Hi Teen might be my least fave title track from The Wind. Not to say that I dislike it at all but all the others outrank it even more. But it's different from their other music in a way (feels like it's channeling a bit less Lovelyz/GFRIEND and a bit more Astro/Sevewnteen if that makles any sense) which I really like! I like versatility in my BGs, even if I do def prefer bright concepts in general.

Also you mentioning RTK brought back all the memories for me! I thought it was so weird that Oneus were competing in the recent season of RTK when their debut twins VRVR were in the first season four years before. But I remember back in the day when RTK Verrers were literally everywhere, and when did this turn into me sitting back in my rocking chair and reminiscing about the good old days? I digress.

Okay, I tyhink I have to thank you for a new obsession because I've been watching through one of those stage compilation videos with all of ZB1's comebacks in reverse order, and so far I've gotten back to Melting Point and I love them all! Especially Good So Bad, but what else can you expect when Queen Kenzie worked on it?

So I'll def be awaiting their next activities as well as TWS's. As you said I really hope that TWS's latest comeback si just a momentary switchup, since (from my admittedly limited source of this forum and some blogs) I don't think I've really seen much of anyone who likes the concept change as a permanent thing. Maybe it'll be a little oneoff in their history, like Fingertip for GFRIEND (but let me say Fingertip was a BANGER). I don't hate whatever that song's name is, but I just thought that compared to their past releases it was very... meh to the point where it felt like suck a disappointing comedown and so the poor song didn't have much of a chance in my books. Honestly, VERIVERY is the only group I've been a fan of that's had a permanent concept change like that (or relatively permanent bc Tap Tap) (I would include SNSD but they kept going back and forth between diff concepts so they don't really count) where I feel like they pulled it off, because they've kept putting out quality. Even my least fave of their TTs, GBTB and Thunder, are still pretty good with good b-sides. But CSR and TWS if they both keep these new concepts will just be disappointing.

OK I finished the stage compilation and I love all their TTs. Off to go learn their names now! THANK YOU AGAIN! Bright BG supremacy.

Last Festival still works, within their music if they wanted to be more sentiental then the song makes so much sense. TheBiasList placed it no. 12 on his year-end list which did surprise me but as a single that does afrobeats so well and his buas towards the group I guess not? Idk yet. I understand where you're coming from with going from North South and Hey Hey but Last Feestival was finally the song to wake me up and start delving deep into the group so I'm happy with that :3 If anything I'm having trouble with fully getting into TWS because they have no bad song and I kinda need them to so I can appreciate them more lmao

Interesting that you bring back Verivery cause GBTB fucking lost me ;-; I do not understand that song, Thunder I'm more inclined to listen to though, I do think they reign supreme with their bright stuff. I did actually stream Crazy like that (???) a bit, it was on my best of 2023 list until the very end (it got edged out unfortunately). I don't think I listened to the b sides though. And I'm not someone to listen to OSTs unless it's Cravity (their one group OST is surprisingly quite good!) I'm so happy you found more vrvr music in the year of 2024 though you're doing god's work!

I fully understand the change of abrupt concepts, I think it really depends on the group for me. Cravity's team's mindset early on was 'throw pasta onto the wall and see what sticks!' and now their concepts/sonicscape sounds way more thoughtful. I dont think you'd like their stuff (except Cherry Blossom, you'll love it very bright) but I'm happy it's somewhat different, I don't hear any other group doing what they're doing. So happy we agree on seventeen. It was so strong and then they just ruined it, not nessecarily by 'maturing' but defenitely by the songs. Getting closer is catchy, fear isn't. It's the same experience of txt with me, their 2019 stuff was so strong and then they released cant you see me :/ I really wished they released drama as the single.

Zb1's new album is very good! I'm happy you enjoy Good So Bad a lot, it's defenitely on my end of year list. So glad you love them as much as other fans, I'm not truly a fan (the fact that they're a survival show group is holding me back) but they have great stuff under their sleeve.

RTK S1 is the only survival show I completed and I probably could never do it again lmao. Golcha got paid dust, Onf as well (in my humble opinion they should've won, I know bigger fandom diplomacy exists though). It's depressing Oneus went again, you'd think one time would've been enough. I didn't watch S2 despite Cravity being on it and winning (again, bigger fandom diplomacy). I was on like the vrvr amino for a month and I remember it being somewhat active.

For me, I mianly find groups/singles either through TheBiasList (I'm assuming you know him lmao) and mcountdown first, but now music bank. Mcountdown is actually how I found out golcha and onf :3 I'm pretty sure I watched verivery perform tag tag tag on a show that's how I really got alerted of them

Ugh I'm listening to tag tag tag on repeat now, inject that song into my viens!
