so much battle in the last book can wear on ppl. I read the first set of red rising this year.

I am caught up on Red Rising, my favorite one is Light Bringer which is the most recent one that has come out. The series has its up and downs, the first book kind of reads like a YA novel but it really opens up after that. I would say Red Rising as a whole the first trilogy and the tetralogy that follows the trilogy are much more violent and bleak than WoT. It is dystopian Scifi though. I also recommend reading The Sun Eater series if you like the Red Rising books.
