i haven't read treasure island but i had to perform the play version of it as a child which kind of made me not want to read it because i hated being forced to perform

like it was from the container van FOR OUR BUSINESS but we could've kept it yk it was expensive so ig my parents wanted to sell it lol

i think if you ever get the chance, you should totally push yourself to learn an instrument. i'm all self taught so you don't have to spend super crazy amounts of money on lessons or anything

i do have a violin back at home BUT I NEVER FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE ITTTT (i was really young when i got it so i didn't understand anything lol) LIKE NO SOUND WOULD COME OUT OF THE VIOLINNNN

classical instruments are not my thing so i can't help you there
i only play guitar and bass. bass being my main instrument (but i do sing)

this life is so short there's so many things we all want to do
but i do love being a part of my church band !! i've known most of the members for over a decade so they're my family. some of them are newer (college students living in town now) but they have also become family so quickly

and so many books to read but with so little time

aaww found family i’m also in a community where we have gatherings every month and we do praise and worships, have discussions, and talk with each other it feels my heart with so much love cause they’re all so kind totally not because my crush is also there >.>

we also have a music ministry there. some people are leaving because they’re graduating high school (there’s also a different community for college students! they’re like leveling up). so there are some spots in the music ministry. i would join if my singing voice suddenly got better overnight

ughhh i feel that !! i have a whole list of books i wanna read but i just don't think i can get through them all

that's so relatable !! the people in my church community are some of the nicest i've ever met and don't be ashamed because i'm lowkey into our drummer but we aren't gonna get into that....

you should totally join because i think it's all about having fun and worshiping !!!! we have a few singers who aren't the greatest but i love hearing them sing because you can tell they love what they do

me too random info drop buy my crush is also my schoolmate but ever since an earthquake happened last year on october, we’ve been having online classes O_o. that means i can only see him once a month at best are you and your drummer close..? 👀

I usually keep like a super long list of books i wanna read so i probably have like 30-40 books on my list i just have an obsession with making lists and being organized...

we are kind of close, having to work together quite a bit since we're both rhythm instruments so we're placed right next to each other on stage. now since i’m asexual i can’t tell if i actually am into him or if i just think he’s cool and nice. he's not even my typical "type" ?? i mean i don't really have a type but i like nerdy-bookish people 😭

but i think what i like about him is his personality because he's so sweet and kind and so patient with me 😭 literally one of the sweetest guys i've ever met. he goes out of his way to help me in. such small ways and i'm like bro you don't have to do all that.

and i hope the earthquake wasn't too bad and you were safe?

it’s kinda crazy cause even back then when we still had face-to-face classes, i BARELY even see him and i literally don’t know why cause we have the same schedule!! we both have morning classes. we both have classes on the 4th floor from mon - wed. we both have asynchronous classes on thurs (we don’t need to go to school on this day. like lowkey i would’ve understand if we had different asynch days cause that would mean i wouldn’t see him for a day, ykwim. BUT NO I DONT EVEN SEE HIM WITH THE SAME SCHED ). and on fridays, i have classes on the 3rd floor while he has classes on the 2nd. craaazy and no i’m not a stalker or anything, i know all this cause he has twin sisters. oh what i mean by this is that they’re triplets and i’m quite close with his sisters. aaaand one of his sister is his classmate sooo yeahh

good thing you’re close with him! i also like nerdy-bookish people but those are really hard to find here lol

the earthquake was strong but don’t worry, i didn’t get hurt or anything our school suffered so much damage though, it’s been almost 5 months. and we still have another 3 months of online classes because the resume of face-to-face classes are for the next school year
online classes are so draininggg

my current reading list is all for school since i have no outside time to read but hopefully i will start reading the brothers karamazov by dostoevsky next time i have a break from uni
